ACME Corp.

  • Their business is manufacturing rocket roller skates. They distribute nation-wide. They have warehouses, factories, and a corporate HQ in Arizona.
  • 5000 employees across 10 states (Illinois, Missouri, Washington, California, New York, Georgia, Florida, Texas, North Dakota, and Arizona)
  • Most employees are in warehouses and manufacturing, roughly 4000. The other thousand are in administrative, clerical, customer service, sales, and executives.
  • They have a lot of benefits: medical, dental, health, life, 401(k), PTO, wellness incentives.
  • They generally follow the market for pay, but in some more rural areas may lag.
  • They don't have much structure when it comes to compensation. Local supervisors usually decide what to pay their people.
  • Executives get stock options in addition to bonuses.
  • ACME is seeing an exodus of people from all ranks in their business, especially the warehouses and manufacturing plants. They have also had a lot of executive turnover causing issues from the top down.
