One way you can learn how to skate is going to a general public at your local ice rink and work on skating at the public skate. A public skate is an open skate session open to all skill levels of skaters from novice to expert. This is a great way to learn how to skate in a no pressure environment and a great way to build your strength in your legs, which you will need to play ice hockey as a goalie.
