The final project for Introduction to Diversity Studies will be an essay that reflects on each of the chapter topics covered as they relate to the pursuit of social justice. Contends the objective of social justice is "creating a fair and equal society in which each individual matters, their rights are recognized and protected, and decisions are made in ways that are fair and honest."

For EACH of the five assigned chapters from the textbook, you will need to:

1. Provide a summary of the discussion from the last section of the chapter on how to reduce the inequality the groups face (links to each section below) (One paragraph 5 points)

2. Investigate ONE of the programs and policies proposed to address the inequality (see below). By using an internet search, you will locate a news article or organization's website that is specifically addressing the program/policy chosen and then provide a summary of how the article/organization is addressing it. For example, from Chapter One: Poverty, if you choose "increase the supply of affordable housing," you would locate and summarize an example of what is being done to provide more affordable housing. In other words, what does providing more affordable housing "look like."? Please provide the website or URL. (One paragraph 5 points)
