There were several things that were gleaned from learning about RTI. The first thing was how to make sure that the students get the help they need, and why the assessments are an important part of finding out where the students stand. Another one is intensive interventions, I had never thought of this before until this class. Intensive Interventions, is a tier three support that targets the specifics needs of the students, and may be planned for that one student. Another thing is how RTI is not a wait and see, but a way to get the support a child needs immediately, this will help the students sooner than having to wait, and have a bunch of meetings like how an IEP works. This will help me to be prepared to have a plan in place to target the areas where the students struggle, and I will be quicker to get the students the help they need.
