A communication center on the campus may have an environment of obscurity

if not dealt with properly, due to current challenges within the staff. The main difficulties with staffing at communication centers are employee burnout. There has been an increase in staffing shortages in the communications centers due to highly unforeseen sick leaves and unwanted, disturbing calls. This causes dependence on calling people back to work on their resting days, usually after a shift. This is one of the main reasons why employee burnouts occur, leaving the facility with a shortage of workers.

Staffing regulations need to be input to address these challenges, such as mental health facility rooms to talk about stressful calls, having a food department to ensure the intake of healthy meals throughout the workday, a nap room for the employees who happen to be coming from an overtime shift, and updated computers;
