The owner of a small company (about 15 employees) has reached out to you, an HR consultant. They have been in business for about 5 years and things have been going well. As the company grows however, it has been increasingly difficult for the owner to communicate with staff and handle internal issues. Currently there is no performance appraisal system in place, and they are considering implementing one. What recommendations would you make that would help them build an effective appraisal system?
