Water is pumped at a rate of 1.57 cfs from one large open tank into another through a 6 in diameter cast iron pipe 400 ft long. The water level in the second tank is 160 ft above the level of the first tank and the discharge end of the pipe is submerged. If 40 hp is delivered to the pump unit, determine the efficiency of the pump.
