Calculate the % atom economy for the following two methods for converting benzene, C6H6, to aniline, C6H5NH2.
Method 1: C6H6 + (CH3)3SiN3 + 2 F3CSO3H + NaOH
->C6H5NH2 + N2 + (CH3)3SiOSO2CF3 + NaF3CSO3 + H2O
Method 2: C6H6 + HNO3 ? C6H5NO2 + H2O
C6H5NO2 + 3 H2 -> C6H5NH2 + 2 H2O
