Rutherford and his co-works found that radium, a radioactive element, disintegrates and emits He nuclei (know as alpha-particles). The rate at which the He^(2+) particles are produced for a certain sample was 2.23*10^(12) alpha- particle/minute. The He^(2+) ions pick up 2 electrons to form helium atoms. The helium thus produced was collected for 1 year; at the end of the year, the total volume of helium gas was found to be 0.237mL at 27? C and 152.0 torr. Calculate Avogadro's number from these data.
