Question: Many middle-school and high-school students report that they have math anxiety. They may pair the anxiety they feel over math with other stimuli in school (e.g., other classes, social interactions, smells in classrooms). What can we do about this?

We need to 'change' their learning of feeling anxious when there's a math test; decondition their fear of math or school in general. For example, we can pair math with something positive. Can you think of ideas on how to alleviate students math anxiety and reduce the likelihood that this specific anxiety will develop into a general anxiety about school?
