In this module, I discussed a number of Western interpretations of these concepts. For this prompt, choose one or more of these concepts from the field of action theory and compare the Buddhist understanding of this concept with one or more interpretations of the concept from Western philosophy. State which version of the concept you think is best and give arguments for why. In addition, give an example of how to evaluate a particular action or event based on the Buddhist understanding of the concept and how to evaluate that same action based on one Western understanding. For instance, you might argue that a libertarian understanding of free will is better than the Buddhist notion of free will. You could then analyze an event such as a murder, as compared to manslaughter, and compare how this event would be analyzed on the libertarian understanding of free will compared to the Buddhist understanding.
