Yet, in many ways, this is the wrong question, since answering this question depends on the specific context and issues we have in mind. So, the better question would be, "How was Marx right?" With regard to either The Communist Manifesto or The 18th Brumaire, how would you explain to first-year students interested in sociology how they should read either the Manifesto or the 18th Brumaire in order to see how it makes visible aspects of America today that one might otherwise overlook or not pay attention to?
