As an officer in an Islamic bank, you are approached by customers with the following requests. Can you suggest which products might be useful to them, and how they are consistent with the aims of Islamic banking?

a) A retail customer wishes to purchase a home. She needs to borrow money to buy it.

b) A commercial client is seeking use of a machine for production purposes in his business

c) A commercial customer is not able to pay for delivery of some construction materials.. The supplier is local, and also a customer of the bank.

d) A trustworthy businessman, who has a sound reputation in importation of fruits and vegetables is looking to expand his business, but doesn’t have sufficient capital. On the expansion, he is willing to use his expertise if he can find someone to help finance the venture
