Problem: History Critical Thinking Essay

This is a critical thinking/ reflective assignment in that you have to look at what Sheldon discusses in the intro and chapter 1 and look at the actual treaty 1 and or 2 - because they were made at the same time within weeks of each other (the link that is on the assignment sheet on nexus), you can even look at how the numbered treaties changed as they went west- You are also to think about the importance of context and Ethnohistory and how there are more than one side to how things happen. How do the original treaties such as the royal proclamation change or not change through time and how this changed the relationship between Indigenous people and the crown over time. Why is ethnohistory so important when looking at the history of Indigenous people and the crown/colonial history. Remember to cite information from the sources (you should not need to go outside of Sheldon's book, Dickason or the treaty site.
