Assessment - Entrepreneurship Report
Students are required to research and analyse an entrepreneur of their choice. In this report, students must address the following key themes from the module, including:
1. The characteristics of an entrepreneur.
2. How the named entrepreneur identifies new business opportunities''
3. What makes their business successful?
The following Module Learning Outcomes are applicable to this assessment:
1. Identify and describe the key concepts related to the study of marketing particularly as they relate to new business ventures.
2. Recognise entrepreneurial opportunities for new business ventures and evaluate the potential for business success core marketing concepts (e.g. Marketing Mix, SWOT, Segmentation and Positioning) and work with others to develop Marketing strategies to support these.
3. Apply theoretical and practical knowledge of Marketing in the diagnosis of organizational issues and the formulation of appropriate marketing strategies, particularly in relation to new business ventures.
4. Begin to evaluate and apply reasoned thinking and collation of supporting evidence in relation to conflicting sets of information and academic opinion.
5. Make effective and comprehensive use of the college's library and G¬leaming resources for sourcing information (e.g. catalogue and bibliographic resources).
