Question: misunderstandings about the gay community, etc. This fortunately led to pushing others to do more research to help others with knowledge about the spread of these diseases and more awareness about how the LGBTQ+ community functions as whole. Please point out and discuss another "disaster" that eventually pushed new procedures, legislation, outlooks, etc to be created on the basis of sex or sexuality (i.e. women's rights, gay marriage, etc). Use a landmark case or historic tragedy that can be credited with being one of the first dominos to set the process in motion. Please give background information on this instance, as well as describing in detail what stemmed from it to help create a better(or worse) understanding of what we know to be true today.
