The group is comprised of four operations managers of a fictitious manufacturing or service company/organization in any segment of the transportation industry. Since operations managers are ultimately problem solvers, the group will identify a problem affecting their company's competitive advantage and devise a solution based on principles and practices of operations management (elements of Learning Outcomes 1-7, as applicable to the identified problem).
A little research will enable the group to come up with a problem that is reality-based for the chosen industry segment. The only stipulation is that it be professional and include the following information: Name of your company/organization.
A description of your company and the transportation industry segment it operates in. Names of group members and operations manager roles of each in the company/organization.
A description of the problem you plan to address and how the issue is impacting the company/organization.
