Intrapreneurship can be defined as the entrepreneurial spirit within an existing business organization. Entrepreneurship is about creating something new while assuming the risks and rewards. Intrapreneurship is an initiative by employees from below in the organization to start something new; an innovation that is created by employees without being requested, expected or perhaps even authorized by management.
Intrapreneurs are a real conduit for generating and executing new approaches to thinking in a corporate environment. For this task, formulate a combined message through a three-page portfolio to encourage intrapreneurial efforts within an organization to #create a cultural shift of acceptance of new ideas and thoughts; hire existing employees; and attract new people with high potential to the organization.
Imagine yourself in the position of an intrapreneur struggling in an organization to turn an idea into a successful business (you can identify the idea). You can adopt a known intrapreneur who has struggled to succeed as a role model. Identify and record the number of intrapreneurial characteristics from your checklist that the known intrapreneur possessed. How did the intrapreneur create value? How did the intrapreneur use resources to meet needs or solve problems?
Try to explore a range of approaches and models for organizations to support and improve the effectiveness of intrapreneurs. This can include incentives, training, employee engagement, cultural change, skills recognition, leadership support, collaboration and communication, and various types of support.
Develop a thoughtful message to engineers and IT professionals to encourage intrapreneurial efforts within their future organization to create value change of inclusiveness and equity; ideas and thought acceptance; Engagement of existing employees; and attracting new and high potential individuals to the organization.
How the intrapreneur created* value? How did the intrapreneur use resources to meet needs or solve problems? Given your answers to these questions, develop the best approach for yourself over the next ten years as a determined intrapreneur or disruptive leader who would help take ideas for success.
