Question: Chemiosmosis is when ions diffuse across permeable membranes. When this happens, it creates a concentration gradient which turns into a form of energy that could be used for work. ATP synthase in the prokaryotic cell is located on the cell membrane whereas ATP synthase in the eukaryotic cell takes place in the inner mitochondrial membrane. The allosteric activator of ATP synthase is a force of constant proton movement. The ATP synthase environment is activated by proton pumping in the electron transport system chain. When ATP synthase is activated, it has protons flowing which bind ADP and P to create ATP. Adenosine Triphosphate is what is produced by ATP synthase. Four ATP molecules are produced by ATP synthase starting from one Glucose molecule at the beginning of Glycolysis.

Reply by evaluating this--clarify and expand on the information. Then describe how the information connects to the information on the Krebs Cycle?
