When children come into contact with the virus varicella-zoster (VZV) a few days later they develop a red itchy rash commonly known as chicken pox. The symptoms will disappear after a week or so. Most people however will never develop chicken pox again even if they come into contact with the virus.

Can you please explain from contact with the virus how the immune system fights the infection referring to specific white blood cells. can you please describe how the immune system response when it next comes into contact with VZV is what i need to unterstand.
