Use one social movement discussed in class today, explain whether you think the US government has been successful or unsuccessful at extending the 14th amendment right to equal protection of the law to all citizens. Explain what action the government has or hasn't taken to achieve this (be specific) and connect your argument to any of the required readings for this class. Explain how Constitutional provisions have supported the movement. Which founding document would you choose to support the social movement or legal challenge?
