Brine shrimp are often fed to aquarium fish as treats. Whereas they can briefly survive in fresh water, aquarists must be cautious of how many they put in the aquarium as the decaying brine shrimp can foul the water. If brine shrimp could survive in fresh water, then it is possible that they could be added to an aquarium with little worry. How would an experiment be designed to explore the idea of selecting for brine shrimp that are able to survive in fresh water?

How the experiment would be conducted?
