  1. Ahuna, a manager, indicated that she would like her employees to work 49 hours a week given the busy season at the organization.  How does the ESA apply to the hours Ahuna would like her staff to work? 
  2. Fiona has worked for her employer, Morgan Financial Inc., for 8 years. She is terminated without cause. Is Morgan Financial Inc. liable to  provide her with notice of termination? Explain.
  3. Kelly's foster daughter is ill. She has requested 22 weeks of paid leave to care for her. How does the Act apply to the situation?
  4. John works as an assistant at a busy law firm. He has shared that his manager that he is experiencing domestic violence. How does the Act apply?
  5. An employer, McDain Foods Inc., notified employees that the employer will be closing the factory and terminating 90 employees.  The factory will be moved to Mexico.  Does the ESA require any special notice to be provided to these workers?
  6. Emaligh works as a server at a busy restaurant. Her manager requested 50% of her tips to cover glass breakage and some missing cash from the till. Will the Act help her keep her tips?
  7. Ezzy and Jorge adopted a child 4 months ago. Ezzy requested time off to spend with his child. How does the ESA apply?
  8. Francois works as a filing clerk and a receptionist for the same employer. This week he worked 10 hours as a filing clerk and 36 hours as a receptionist. In total, he worked 46 hours in the week. Is she entitled to overtime? At what rate of pay?
  9. Natalie made a complaint under the ESA alleging the inadequate breaks. Her employer subsequently terminated her employment. Does the ESA protect Natalie, if so, how?
  10. Abdul has worked for his employer for six years.  How much vacation entitlement does the ESA provide?  Can Abdul decide when the vacation is taken?
