Objective - Apply the doctrine of creation to Christian life and practice.

In Chapter 2 of Tokens of Trust, Rowan Williams writes about God as the creator of heaven and earth. As we discovered last week, this is a central theme of Christian theism. God created the world out of nothing. This means that he is "other" than the world. He cannot be controlled through sympathetic magic or any other means. Worship is about trust and surrender for the Christian.

God demands much of those who would embrace his offer of adoption as sons and daughters. We come to Christ with everything we know we have. God demands exclusivity of worship.

In your discussion, consider how the doctrine of creation makes the demands God places on his followers to be completely in line with who he is and the universe he created.
