Topic: Social determinants of health. You have recently been appointed as the county health commissioner in your area, and there seems to be a number of health-related issues in your jurisdiction. You are meeting with state and federal officials next month to discuss a possible solution to one particular area you believe is crucial to improving health in your county. Pick one determinant of health (or subtopic within determinants of health) you believe it is worth discussing and share your prepared remarks. Your discussion should address the following:

Question 1. How that determinant is related to health, and what challenges to achieving health and health equity exist as a result.

Question 2. How the determinant impacts health at the individual and population levels; and
