Your report is to use Tesla as your case study.  Please think of the assignment as a consultancy report that reviews the current market position, internal and external influences to support the creation of value for the Tesla business.  Therefore you must research and keep up-to-date with what is happening in the advanced automotive sector, as well as in the international marketplace.  There is much happening at the moment, so the report content will need to be created, then reviewed before you submit to make sure the report reflects the current market issues that will affect the Tesla Business.

1. Research the market sector in which the case study organization operates and produce a business report to deliver a critical evaluation of the value chain activities of the case study organization. The report must identify opportunities for value creation in the marketing and operations management activities of the business and suggest how this will support the organization in gaining competitive advantage within the sector.  The report must use detailed and referenced analytical models, appropriate to the case study organization.
2. The business report must cover the points listed below.
   1. Carry out detailed research to provide you with up-to-date information appropriate to delivering a strategic level investigation on the case study organization.  The research information should enable you to carry out a critical evaluation of the business's value added strategy reviewing the marketing and operations activities and analyzing how these deliver strategic goals.
   2. Demonstrate critical understanding of how the case study organization co-creates value for customers through the integration of core aspects of marketing and operations management. This includes how value is created holistically through the market research, product development, prototype, supply chain, production, and diffusion into the related markets
   3. Deliver a critical appraisal of the organization's practice to related marketing and operations management theory.
   4. Synthesise suitable recommendations for the case study organization to improve marketing and operations management strategy and deliver enhanced value creation and competitive advantage. Your suggestions for implementation must be supported by relevant theoretical underpinnings, research into the sector and application to analytical models.

The whole focus of the assignment is how businesses create value to gain competitive advantage. The value gained through the green credentials and unique design will enable Tesla to advance the tech spec of the car, continue with the perception of advanced use of technology, supporting customer perception of the brand.Value is different to strategy.  Strategy is what you are to deliver, value creation is how.  Make sure that you keep this focus throughout the module. 

Notice: Consider how Tesla manages its brand that creates value to increase sales and the product range. It is in the manipulation of image that makes it a high value car. It should be comprehensive with in text citation please.
