Assignment:

Social workers at the micro, mezzo, and macro levels engage in advocacy efforts with organizations and other practitioners to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion for vulnerable populations. Agencies that provide human services rely on evidence-based practices to make the best use of their resources when advocating for human rights and making decisions on how to prepare their staff to support specific groups. Because of agencies' dependence on this information, sometimes social workers may be asked to share social work practices with human services agencies that serve the same populations.

For this assessment, you will use the same example population that you researched for the Wk 2 Summative Assessment: Diverse Populations Panel Forum.

A local human services agency that serves the selected population has asked you to consult with their leaders to prepare for an upcoming training for their team of social workers. Consider how you might present your message to this organization as a social worker to encourage them to use evidence-based standards and practices in their advocacy efforts for the target population.
