For Chapter, look at the impact of globalization and consider how social issues such as poverty and social exclusion (p. 358-359); are connected to even more challenging issues such as health pandemics and major public health concerns like HIV.AIDS, Malaria, Ebola Disease, human trafficking, the mistreatment of indigenous people and refugees, human right violations against LGBT populations, genocide and rape( p.362-375). Why are these issues globally affecting those internationally but also domestically? Why are these social issues, health pandemics and health concerns affecting everyone. Consider how the COVID-19 pandemic has recently hit our nation, what will be the job of a human service professional/ what type of support can be given following this pandemic. What should be the response of a human service professional in any life altering issue that affects a vast majority of people abruptly.
