Problem: Since the pandemic occurred and the beginning of quarantine, my significant other and I have been spending a lot more time together than we are used to. I am working from home and it is very frustrating because I have never worked remotely before. Sometimes when I am done with work I am upset with how the day went because either something went wrong with the project I am working on and it's difficult to get help from my supervisors remotely compared to being on-site, or I was not as productive as I wished to be. At the end of the day I just want to sit down with my significant other and vent to them about what's going on and what is bothering me. I am not looking for a solution, I just want somebody to listen so I can express how I am feeling. Lately though when I try to vent, they just tell me it's not worth dwelling on and to stop thinking about it since my workday is over. This bothers me because I feel like I can't express how I feel. When they do listen, they want me to be concise and come up with a plan for work the next day, but I just want them to understand how I feel. How should I bring up these issues bothering me without upsetting them?
