For this Reflection activity, you will use your textbook's Assessing Your Communication sections to think through your personal growth in interpersonal communication. Do not merely copy results of the Assessing Your Communication. Rather, use the results to help you write two thoughtful paragraphs one per chapter about what skills you have and what you are learning.
Complete the following steps:
Write Paragraph One Chapter Six Reflection: Work through the "Assessing Your Communication: Sexist Language" section on page 159 of your textbook. Use the textbook assessment section to gather ideas for answers to the following questions. Answer the questions using full sentences to create one paragraph.
Summarize your findings-what does the test show/state about your attitude toward sexist language?
How do you think your perception and experiences (i.e. if you are female or male) potentially shape your views on this?
Based on what you learned about in this chapter, what changes do you plan to make using language moving forward?
Write Paragraph Two, Chapter Seven Reflection: Work through the "Assessing Your Communication: Nonverbal Immediacy Behaviors" section on page 188 of your textbook. Use the textbook assessment section as a guide to answering the following questions. Answer the questions using full sentences to create one paragraph.
How satisfied are you with your nonverbal immediacy scale score?
Why do you think you scored the way you did?
How might your nonverbal communication change as a result of your learning in this chapter?
