Question - You have identified a business opportunity for Aich-to-oh to win a multimillion-dollar contract in Bourke.

Bourke is a remote village of 2000 people in the far west of NSW which has a serious water shortage for domestic, industrial and agriculture use.

Farmer Stuart is a major landowner in the area, he has plenty of water stored in dams for his own use on his property. However, the property sits above a vast artesian well full of water contaminated by agricultural chemicals. Aich-to-oh could extract this resource and provide abundant water for the whole district if the farmer can be persuaded to sign a contract.

The Mayor of Bourke has told you that Farmer Stuart has a strong INTJ personality and a fairly low level of emotional intelligence. They are also a "C" or Conscientious type of personality using DiSC to analyse thinking styles. He is a wealthy man already and not likely to be motivated by financial benefit of a valuable contract.

Explain what strategy you will adopt to persuade Farmer Stuart to sign a contract. You must consider the following:

Describe how your knowledge of his personality type is influencing your pathway?

Is the farmer most likely to be influenced by the transaction or the relationship?

What activities are you going to undertake to engage with the farmer and develop the relationship?

Who else might be able to help you persuade the farmer?

Describe how they can do this.

How quickly do you think you can realistically achieve your goal?
