Discuss how preexisting internal and external systems and practices can impact the effectiveness of best practice growth or outreach techniques. It is critical that you integrate your personal Christian worldview, biblical resources, and references in our textbooks, which are Rutland, M. (2013). Relaunch: How to Stage an Organizational Comeback, chapters 12-13, and Morgan, T. (2017). The unstuck church: Equipping churches to experience sustained health, chapters 5-6. You will need to include at least two APA in-text citations and biblical verses. The post should cover the following topics:
- What types of internal systems and processes could have an impact on the effectiveness of the growth and outreach techniques?
- Is the best strategy to modify the growth or outreach techniques or the internal systems and processes?
Second Chair leaders can have direct control over internal systems or processes. However, they may have little to no ability to influence a change in an external system or process. Keep that in mind and describe how to address this issue. Please answer all the questions and cite the textbooks and have some biblical verses. The references are the two textbooks mentioned above.
Hint: "The mission explains why an organization exists; the vision clarifies where the organization is going in the future (Morgan, 2017)." Every organization needs to have an explicit mission and vision statement. When these are not clearly defined, the organization's purpose is vague, and all work can conflict with each other since there is no clear direction. "Alignment is crucial to strength and health. Alignment is vitally important for an organization (Rutland, 2013)." I would explicitly write these statements, align the mission with the organization, and change the vision statement if needed. "The mission of an organization will rarely, if ever, change. The vision, on the other hand, needs to be refreshed every few years or so (Morgan, 2017)."
