PMD Paper Guidelines
You may want to include the following sections:
• Introduction - Explanation of the purpose of your paper.
• Prevalence - How often does the condition occur in the U.S. population?
• Cause(s)
• Signs & Symptoms
• Diagnosis
• Treatment
• Prognosis - What is the quality of life expected for a child with this disorder or disease?
• Conclusion - Overview and review of paper as an integrated whole
Requirements:
• Length: 8-10 pages (Not including title page and reference pages)
• Format:
o Double Spaces
• 1" Margins
• 12 Point Font in Standard (Ariel or Times New Roman) Font
• References:
o Should use a minimum of five references.
o Use more than just webpage references.
o Journal articles are acceptable.
• You can find many electronic references (recommend using Medline, which contains electronic copies of many journals). Ohiolink also contains an Electronic Journal Center (EJC) that may be very helpful in your research.
o All references should be cited in APA, MLA, or ASA style.
