1. How often do you communicate with professionals from other disciplines/professions? Do these conversations always surround particular clients or issues? Do these conversations ever involve genuine interest in the knowledge they have that you may not?

2. Think of a time when you had a difficult interaction with a member from another profession. What made the interaction difficult? How did that difficult interaction negatively impact your ability to suggest behavioral strategies after the interaction? If you could redo that first interaction again, what would you do differently?

3. Think of a time where you had a positive interaction with a member from another profession. What made the interaction great? How did that interaction positively impact your ability to suggest behavioral strategies after the interaction? If you could redo that first interaction, what would you do differently?

4. Do you know anyone (BCBA or another professional) that works particularly well with professionals from other disciplines? What behaviors do they engage in that help those interactions? How can you incorporate those interactions into your practice more regularly?

5. What jargon do you commonly use that has people giving you blank stares? How do you alter your technical verbal behavior when talking to: a child with autism; a client's sibling; a client's parent; a teacher; the principal at a school; a physician; a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT); BCBAs; a Board Certified Behavior Analyst-Doctoral; the neighbor who asks what you do for a living; when describing your dog's behavior to your nonbehavior analytic friend?
