Question: An example of how my organization has dealt with risk was earlier in our fiscal year, when our executive team weighted the impacts that a recession would have on projected revenues. This decision was calculated based on assigning the probability and degree at which a recession would take place. These calculations allowed for our executives to alleviate the need for layoffs because they estimated that they would be able to continue to support their overhead costs regardless of the risks associated with a potential recession.
