This course materials aim to highlight the importance of listening, power structures, and how multiculturalism intertwines with youth agency. This week's Discussion Board aims to strengthen your connection between these themes, particularly with respect to multiculturalism. Though not explicitly required in this post, please do the best to consider and/or highlight the role of multiculturalism in your posts, where appropriate and/or relevant.

Think back on a memory that you have when you felt that someone really listened to you (this could be in an education space or another space). OR, you can choose to discuss a time when you felt someone really DID NOT listen to you. Describe that moment in detail and please include the following components (with suggested lengths included):

1. How did this moment make you feel? [two-four sentences]
2. What did you appreciate about that moment, and/or what do you wish would have been different? [two-four sentences]
3. How did this moment affect you after it happened? For example, did you change your behavior significantly? Did you feel differently about certain people, places, ideas, etc.? [four to six sentences]
