A firefighter standing on a ladder 4.20 meters in the air is using a water hose to put out a fire. To hose needs to supply 250 kg( about 60 gallons ) of water per minute and the water needs to leave the hose at speed of 12.0 m/s. A water pump supplies the energy to move the water.

a) How much work is done per minute in lifting the water from the ground?

b) How much work is done per minute creating the kinetic energy it has when leaving the hose?
