Question - The management of Glinn Lodging Suites, which is a 200 room hotel property, has the option of signing a building lease either with annual fixed terms as $30,000 or variable lease terms which is set at 5.00% of the total revenue generated in a given year by the property. Glinn has an ADR of $200.00 and an Occ. % of 80.00% in December. Based on the information given and the total revenue in January, how much will the management save if they choose the variable option versus the fixed option on annual basis (Assume that ADR and Occ. % will remain the same throughout the year)?
