Case One:Upon graduation from the college, you are employed as the human resource assistant

at Netech Inc., a newly incorporated manufacturing company in Warehousing and storage (493). It employs 368 people, with a projected payroll of $27,578,032 annually. The company operates one 8-hour shift per day for 251 days last year. The company records show that the incidents and injuries that happened last year like the following:

- 37 medical aid injuries with no days lost

- 73 equipment failures that caused a total of 32 days loss

- 28 property damage incidents with a total of 26 days lost

- 76 injuries requiring medical attention with a total of 318 days lost

Part of your responsibilities is to coordinate the firm's health and safety practices. In your first week of employment, you found that the company has not yet registered with Ontario Workplace Safety and Insurance Board. You talked with the President over the matter and he suggested that you should provide guidelines for the registration, and present the guidelines to the management meeting that is scheduled to be held next week. The president would like you to explain clearly the following aspects of your proposed registration guidelines.
