The composite Bode plot of an open-loop system is shown in given Figure. This is for proportional action only. How much proportional gain will drive the system into instability?

The critical gain of the ultimate cycle method is that which will drive the system to the margin of instability. What would be the proper gain setting for ultimate cycle tuning? What phase and gain margin does this provide?
