NASA is designing a mission to exploe Titan, the largest moon of Saturn. Titan has numerous hydrcarbon lakes containing a mix of methane and ethane in unknown proportions. As part of the mission, a small submersible vehicle will explore Kraken Mare, the largest of these lakes, to determine, among other things, how deep it is. Assuming that the maximum depth of Kraken Mare is less than 400 meters, how much pressure in atmospheres must the submersible be designed to withstand? Assumer the surface pressure on Titan is 17 kilopascals, the surface temperature is 94 kelvin, and the gravity is 1.35 meters per second squared.
