A high-voltage transmission line connects a city to the power plant. It consists of two aluminum wires, each with resistance of 4.0 Ohm. The transmission line delivers to the city 1.7x105 kW of power at 2.3x105 V. What is the current in the transmission line? How much power is lost as Joule heat in the transmission line? If the transmission line were to deliver the same power at 115V, how much power would be lost as Joule heat?
