Question - A firm has decided that it wants to gradually stop producing red paint. In the first month, they will produce 1000 litres and then, in each subsequent month, they will produce half as much as they did in the month before. The firm will stop producing paint in the month where it would produce less than one litre.

(a) How much paint will they produce in the first, second and third month?

(b) In which month will the firm stop production? You should use the facts that, to three decimal places, In(1000) = 6.908 and In(2) = 0.693.
