Consider a V = 1.4-m3 open container made out of thin metal sheets with a linear expansion coefficient α = 204 × 10-6-°C-1. The container is filled to the brim with a liquid whose volume expansion coefficient is β = 25 × 10-6-°C-1. The container and liquid are initially at a temperature of Tini = 87-°C, but are allowed to cool down to Tfin = 13.7-°C. How much of the liquid spills over as a result? You may assume that the metal sheets have zero thickness.
