Question - Assume that Jan Huley earns $15 per hour and worked 51 hours this week. Overtime in excess of 40 hours must be paid at 150% of the normal hourly rate. Assume that Social Security taxes are 6% and Medicare/Medicaid taxes are 1.5%. Assume that $200 of Jan's earnings are in excess of the maximum Social Security tax, and that $210 is to be withheld for income taxes. How much is the gross pay and net pay?
