You get a mechanical advantage of five -to-one from the level on the device as well (that is, the force on the cylinder is five times the force you apply to the lever). If you push down on the lever with 250 N, how much force acts to lift the car? Ignore any difference in height.

2- A steel meter stick is correctly calibrated at 20 degrees Celsius. How long would it be in a commercial freezer which is maintained at -5 degrees Celsius?
