A famous mad-physicist Dr. Strangelove tries to find out how much energy is contained in one liter of sunlight. Assume the intensity of sunlight as it reaches the top of the Earth's atmosphere is 1340 W/m2 and answer the following question.

a) If a box whose volume is one liter has 1.00 m width and 1.00 m length, what is the thickness of the box?

b) Suppose the sunlight hitting the box in Part a) perpendicularly at the 1.00 m x 1.00 m surface. How long does the sunlight need to pass from one 1.00 m x 1.00 m side of the box to the other side?

c) How much energy of sunlight passes the 1.00 m x 1.00 m surface of the box per second?

d) How much energy is contained in in one liter of sunlight?
