Solve the all parts of given problem:

Problem: The mass is removed from the spring is now placed in the horizontal plane. The spring is fixed to a wall at one end and the 25 kg mass is attached once again to the free end of the spring. The spring is then compressed by 10cm.

Part A: How much force is required to compress the spring by this amount?

Part B: How much elastic potential energy is stored in the spring?

Part C: The mass is now let go and is free to oscillate at the end of the spring. What is the speed of the mass when it is 5 cm from the equilibrium position?

Can someone please explain what the heck is going on?
