Problem 1: By how much does the forecasted (plug) cash amount deviate from normal? Does this difference warrant an adjustment to forecasted cash?

For General Mills in 2017, a normal cash balance would be 4.6% of sales or $750.5 million, computed as forecasted FY2017 sales of $16,314.7 million x 4.6%. The forecasted cash amount of $(37.0) deviates from the norm by $787.5 million. This seems to warrant an adjustment because the balance sheet cannot report a negative cash balance.
