2. Consider a 3-phase 208 V, 240 kW load with pf = 0.8 lagging. Find

(b) the p.u values of the active, reactive and the complex power of the load and the line current if the rated values at the load are 208V, 500 KVA.

3. Draw the one-line diagram of a power grid that consists of a 208V PV module, and a 208 V wind form generator along with 208 V conventional coal-fired generator, feeding a 33 kV power grid. The grid is 200 mile long and supplies two utilities: one 120 V at 500 KVA and the other 208V at 1 MVA at 0.8 pf lagging.

4. Consider an energy grid comprising of the 3-phase 60 Hz generating station generates 208V is connected to a 33 kV power grid. The grid supplies a 208 V, 150 kVA utility located at150 miles from the generator site. Consider both transformers have 8% voltage variation, but the transmission line is rated as 0.04 + j0.8 Ω/mile. Assume the rated values at the utility are 208 V and 200 KVA.

c. Calculate the rated voltage, current and impedances on the generator end.

d. Find the p.u. voltages in the grid.
